Portfolio Update May 2026

A review of the stock market and my portfolio moves - Month 21

May was another incredible month in the market across the board. I was just thinking how thankful I am that I finally pulled the trigger on selling SCHD for QQQM last month! Family is doing well with the little one now starting on solid foods and my wife continuing to do a fantastic job. Near the end of the month one of my closest friends from childhood had his wedding and we were able to introduce baby to many friends from back home.

Major Indices VS My RRSP

Yet another month of up and to the right its been absolutely wild so far. Typically people say sell in May and go away, but, this year it has been anything but. Look at that beautiful QQQM

AMD, SHOP, GOOG all remain unchanged but I am still actively monitoring and considering the trim or full exit.

Well my prediction from last month of extremely greed was incorrect but just like the month of April, we are showing Greed across the board.

Wrap Up

May was a month of strong market momentum, with major indices and my holdings delivering impressive gains as the “sell in May” adage failed to materialize. My portfolio strategy remains steady. Beyond the numbers, the highlight of the month was celebrating a childhood friend’s wedding and watching our little one reach the exciting milestone of starting solid foods. Looking ahead, I am continuing to monitor my core technology holdings for potential exits while remaining optimistic about the market’s continued upward trend. Until next month!
